The Chakra System
Chakra originates in ancient Hindu texts. Chakra is the very center of all energy flow
within every realm of the human body, mind and spirit. It is the essential energetic connection to our
consciousness and spiritual essence.
There are seven main chakras and thousands of secondary and
lesser chakras throughout the human body.
Energetic healing focuses on the seven main chakras which are located at
specific points on the body.
The seven main Chakras are outlined here:
7 Crown of Head:
signifies totality of being, spiritual perfection. Color: Violet
6 Forehead (Third Eye):
signifies visualization, psychic ability. Color: Indigo
5 Throat:
Signifies communication and creativity. Color: Blue
4 Heart: Signifies love, compassion. Color: Green
3 Solar Plexus: Creation of self, perception and
projection of self. Color: Yellow
2 Sacral:
Signifies desire, including sexual energy. Color: Orange
1 Base of spine: Signifies physical vitality and
survival. Color: Red
Blockage or dysfunction of any of the main chakras gives
rise todisorders of the mind, body and spirit.Chakras can be sensed by an
energy healer and blockages or disruptions in the energy flow of the chakras
can be felt and visualized.
Energetic
healing occurs when a healer successfully transfers healing energyinto
dysfunctional chakras. Therapeutic touch is rooted in the visualization and
healing of the disrupted chakra system.
